Childcare Referral Information
The Child Care Resource & Referral Centre assists parents with their search for quality child care. If you require a list of child care options please phone the office during business hours and we would be happy to email a list based on your requirements. You can also complete our ONLINE REQUEST FORM.
Once we receive your request you will receive a list a childcare options matching the information you have submitted. If you have questions or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
You will need to contact each program to find out if they have availability. We encourage parents to continue to contact as many childcare programs regularly. Spaces in our community can quickly change from day to day.
We are excited about the government Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative program which recently announced an increase in support effective December 1, 2022. Parents will be informed of how this change will affect childcare fees as more information becomes available. Please follow the link to learn more.
ACCB applications are available at Childhood Connections CCRR office or visit the BC Government website for more information. The CCRR team will help you apply for the affordable child care benefit by using the online portal. You will need to have a child care arrangement form completed

I acknowledge with deep respect and gratitude that I am a guest on the unceded and traditional territory of the Syilx Okanagan People, where I am privileged to live, work, and raise my family. I will continue to honor and respect the land that I am a guest on by learning alongside my children about the history of the land and Sylix People who are the original stewards of this land since time immemorial.
Below also needs to be included. I will print off and we can discuss what needs to be where.
Our community is currently experiencing a childcare crisis as there is a lack of childcare educators (ECEs) and childcare providers in our community. Much of this is due to the general staffing shortage in our community, and low wages paid for childcare sector jobs, and lack of affordable housing and living in our community. Our Childcare Council is working hard in the background to support an end to the crisis, and every voice helps – especially parent voices! Please email our Minister of Child Care, Honourable Katrina Chen, and your local MLAs and MP about your challenges with finding childcare in our Central Okanagan community.
