Early Childhood Educator/ Infant Toddler and Montessori Positions Available

New Beginnings Early Years Center (Under New Ownership), located in Lake Country, BC, is looking for Early Childhood Educators to complement our team. We are a growing organization looking to expand and provide staff with opportunities for professional growth.

Job Description

New Beginnings is a licensed facility committed to meeting the community’s need for early education and quality care. Through mutual respect, trust and support, we are able to facilitate a learning environment where the partnerships between educators and families nurtures the growth of our students to become active and caring members of our school community.

Our programs support children to learn and grow in the areas of physical, social/emotional, language, and intellectual development. Our educators promote individualism and respectful relationships through positive interactions with children, coworkers, parents and community.

Successful Candidates must have:

– experience working in a childcare program
– the ability to work independently of supervision
– fluent in English verbal and written
– experience communicating with parents and coworkers
– experience and confidence to modify and/or adapt programming to meet the development needs of all children
– ability to make decisions on behalf of children and protect their well-being
– ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in case of emergency

Requirements:

– a current BC ECE Certificate or Infant Toddler Certificate or a Montessori Certificate. Special needs certificates would be an asset
– a current First Aid Certificate
– 2 written references and 1 oral reference
– receipt of a driver’s abstract clearance and a receipt of a
– Criminal Record Check clearance

Position Details:

– Monday-Friday (flexible schedules available)
– 7-8hrs per day w breaks (start/end times vary)
– ECE Wages: $25.50 to $27.50 per hour Wage Enhancement
