Minute To Win It” Challenges

Join us for a fun-filled Minute to Win It Family Night! Families with children ages 5–13 are invited to enjoy quick, silly, and exciting challenges that encourage laughter, teamwork, and connection.

Registration is Required

Join Emily on Fridays at Helen's Acres to volunteer at the farm, followed with a story, song, or fun activity on the grass .

10am - 11am

Feel free to stay for your own picnic on the grass after the group has completed their helping time (supervision of children are parents/caregiver's responsibility) 

Come find Emily for a morning of singing, movement and fun every Wednesday at Benlee Park, 900 Houghton Rd, Kelowna, .

Drop in Program

Join us at Helen’s Acres for a free family event starting at 10:00am with rhyme time at 10:15, strawberry picking from 10:45–11:15 (take one container home and donate one), and stay after to enjoy a picnic on the grass.

Join us for a free 8-week family series this summer at Childhood Connections - Strong Roots Centre.

Both parents and their youth (9-13 years old) will take part in the education, cooking and eating portion of the program together. With a focus on fostering healthy food relationships and skill building in the kitchen. Space permitting, younger siblings ages 5–8 may join a fun children’s workshop during program time.

Free Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math activities all summer long!

This program is for children between 6-13 years old.

Space is limited, and registration is required for each activity.

For children entering Grades 4–6 in Sept 2026

Each week, children will have the opportunity to create a new recipe and participate in a creative art project, helping to build practical life skills, foster creativity, and encourage teamwork in a supportive and engaging environment.

A Weekly Parent Connection Group.

Join us for free 8-week series offers parents a supportive space to learn about children’s emotional development through an attachment-based lens. Each week includes a brief video or podcast segment featuring Dr. Deborah MacNamara, along with group conversation and take-home strategies. Together, we’ll explore topics such as attachment, play, big emotions, boundaries, rest, and resilience.

Enrich the Parenting Journey with the Early Nourish Families Program Children Aged 1 Month to 24Months through our Nourish Families Program. Join our weekly sessions from April to June, designed for parents to engage in authentic discussions, incorporating rhymes, songs, and cherished moments with their little ones. Children are encouraged to attend and be part of this bonding experience.

Each week, participating parents will have the opportunity to receive locally sourced frozen meals.
