Training & Workshops for Care Providers

We provide training & workshops at Childhood Connections Child Care Resource & Referral Program to support our community care providers. As well as to foster quality and inclusive child care in our Central Okanagan community. Our training follows the implementation of the BC Early Learning Framework, Schedule G of the BC Child Care Licensing Regulation and the Early Childhood Educators of BC Code of Ethics.

We also provide links to affiliate trainings and workshops available within our community and applicable online trainings from around the province and beyond.

Childhood Anxiety - How to support the children in your classroom through the pandemic and beyond

FREE - Tuesday March 16 & March 23, 2021 (Must attend both days) This two part workshop touches on the basic neuroscience of stress. Learn (or be reminded) about nervous symptom responses, (fight /flight/ freeze) and the spectrum of behaviors you can expect to see in your classroom. Join the discussion about how to identify the children who are really struggling as well as, learn coping strategies to support them. Instructed by Vicky Wallace
