Jason Ranchoux

Executive Director

About Me: Originally from the Lower Mainland, Jason relocated to Kelowna in the mid-90’s and is now an Okanagan “lifer.”  With over 20 years of experience in the Local and National non-profit sector, Jason is dedicated to strengthening community partnerships, enhancing family support services, and advancing high-quality early childhood initiatives.

I am also an avid golfer and a Level IV Fastpitch Softball umpire with Softball Canada.

Fun Fact:I love Hallmark Christmas movies and would love to be in one someday!

 

Nicole Hoodicoff

Program Operations Manager

About Me: I have worked with Childhood Connections for 7  years in various programs such as Child Care Resource & Referral and Family Resource Program. My previous roles in the community included Supportive Childcare, Behavioral Interventionist and Early Childhood Educator.

Fun Fact: I am famous for my impeccable air guitar impressions to any Bon Jovi songs!

About Me: I moved from Ontario to the Okanagan in 2002 and now enjoy family life in Lake Country. With over 20 years of community fundraising and business development experience across local and national charities, I’m passionate about helping children, youth, and families build strong foundations to thrive. I’m excited to inspire others to embrace and support the Childhood Connections mission.

Fun fact: I love dancing freely in my kitchen!

Christie Lee

Office Admin Assistant

About Me: I grew up in the Kootenays and made the move to Kelowna in the early 2000s.

I spent many years in finance and wealth management helping people plan for their futures. Over time, my work shifted into the non-profit sector, where I now work hands-on with children and families. In this role, I support families in practical, day-to-day ways and help create a welcoming, caring environment where children and families feel supported.

Fun Fact:  I spent 3 years travelling and exploring the Caribbean islands

About Me: I was born and raised in Kelowna and am passionate about inclusion and acceptance. With a background as an Educational Assistant, I enjoy fostering connection and new learning for children and parents alike.

Fun Fact: I grew up on a Ilama and Alpaca farm!

About Me: I have been creating a growing family programs here at the Strong Roots Centre for over 2 years. I strive to create a safe and engaging space for caregivers and their children to grow and bond through the years.

About me: I’m a UBCO graduate with a passion for psychology and youth development. Helping others truly fills my cup, and I love supporting young people as they discover their strengths and shine in their own unique ways. I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where youth feel heard, supported, and encouraged to be themselves.
 
Fun fact: My cat Bambam is 80 years old! (In cat years of course)

About Me: I moved to Kelowna at the start of 2025 from my home in Vancouver Island, where I studied psychology. I now follow my passion of connecting with others and sharing my love of life and learning with them.

Fun Fact: I am aphantasic, which means that I cannot voluntarily visualize things in my mind like most other people.
